Michaela DeSimone

Michaela DeSimone is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who supports pre-teens, teens, young adults, and adults across Ontario through a warm, grounded, and deeply authentic therapeutic presence. She works with ADHD, anxiety, depression, low motivation, self-esteem concerns, trauma, school stress, perfectionism, OCD, eating disorders and major life transitions. Michaela blends evidence-based modalities—including CBT, mindfulness-based therapy, strength-based approaches, and client-centred work—to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and real. She is known for her genuine, personable style; she doesn’t hide behind a blank slate, and instead meets clients with humour, compassion, and an approach that makes therapy feel both human and accessible.

Michaela’s work is holistic, trauma-informed, and designed to meet each client exactly where they are. She helps clients make sense of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours while building practical skills for daily life. While trained in multiple evidence-based modalities (and yes—there are plenty of acronyms, but she won’t bore you with them), she focuses on what actually fits you, adapting her approach moment to moment. Whether she is supporting teens through school stress, helping young adults navigate identity and transition, or guiding adults through anxiety, burnout, and emotional overwhelm, Michaela’s goal is for clients to leave each session feeling lighter, supported, and more empowered. She offers both in-person therapy in Oakville, Ontario and online therapy across Ontario, making it easy to access care that feels comfortable, flexible, and deeply validating.
