Therapy that fits around your life, not the other way around

Tell us a little about what’s going on and we’ll suggest the therapist who fits.
We’ll match you →You know therapy could help. The problem is finding the time.
Work runs from nine to five, or longer. The kids need picking up. Your shifts change every week. By the time you’re free, most offices have closed for the day.
At Heart of Oak Psychotherapy, appointments are available on weekday evenings and on weekends, in person in Oakville and virtually across Ontario & select provinces.
Availability varies by therapist and changes from week to week. The free consultation and our online booking page show current openings.
Our therapy offices are located in a residential home in Oakville. All sessions are by appointment only.
If you’d rather not drive after a long day, virtual sessions let you join from home. Many people find a 9pm virtual session, once the house is quiet, easier than any daytime appointment.
We see clients from Oakville, Burlington and Milton in person, and virtually across Ontario & select provinces.
Tell us a little about what’s going on and we’ll suggest the therapist who fits.
Evening and weekend sessions are available for the same kinds of support we offer during the day, including: - Anxiety, stress and burnout - Depression and low mood - OCD and intrusive thoughts - Trauma and PTSD - Grief and pet loss - ADHD and neurodivergence - Relationships, dating and self-esteem - Eating disorders - Support for first responders and healthcare workers - Couples therapy and family therapy - Therapy for preteens and teens
Many people find it easier to keep going with therapy when sessions happen at a regular time that doesn’t fight with the rest of their week. A standing Tuesday evening or Saturday morning slot can make therapy feel like part of your routine rather than one more thing to juggle.
Each therapist sets their own schedule. During your free consultation, we’ll look at who has openings at the times that work for you, and who fits what you’re looking for.

Heart of Oak Psychotherapy is a private-pay practice. We don’t offer direct billing, and we don’t work with Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). You pay us directly, and we provide a receipt after each session that you can submit to your extended health benefits provider for reimbursement.
Many extended health plans cover services from Registered Psychotherapists, but plans vary, so please check your coverage with your provider. A sliding scale is available for people experiencing financial hardship, assessed case by case.
