Milton has grown fast, and so have the demands on the people who live there: long commutes, young families, busy careers and not much time left over for yourself. Maybe you've been meaning to look into therapy for a while, and something recently tipped the balance.

Heart of Oak Psychotherapy is a group practice in Oakville, a short drive from Milton. If you live in Milton, you can come to our Oakville offices for in-person sessions or meet with us virtually from home, work or anywhere you have privacy.

We want to be clear about where we are: we don't have an office in Milton. Our therapy offices are located in a residential home in Oakville. All sessions are by appointment only.

In-Person Therapy in Oakville, a Short Drive From Milton

If you'd like to sit in the same room as your therapist, our Oakville offices are a short drive from most Milton neighbourhoods.

From downtown Milton, our Oakville offices are about 22 km away, roughly a 30-minute drive depending on traffic, most of it straight down Bronte Road (Regional Road 25).

If you commute along the 401 or 407 for work, an evening or weekend session in Oakville may fit on the way home or between weekend plans.

Virtual Therapy From Anywhere in Milton

If the drive doesn't fit your week, or you have little ones at home, virtual therapy is a full option in its own right. Sessions happen by secure video, and you can join from wherever you have privacy.

We offer virtual therapy across Ontario & select provinces, so if you move, travel for work or head off to school, you can often keep working with the same therapist.

You can also mix the two. Some clients start in person and switch to virtual during a busy stretch, or the other way around.

What We Help With

People from Milton come to us for many reasons, including: - Anxiety, worry and overthinking - Depression and low mood - OCD and intrusive thoughts - Stress, burnout and life transitions - Trauma and PTSD - Grief and pet loss - ADHD and neurodivergence - Self-esteem, perfectionism and people-pleasing - Relationships, dating and attachment - Eating disorders - Support for first responders and healthcare workers - Couples therapy and family therapy

You don't need a diagnosis or a clear label before reaching out. "Something isn't right and I'd like to talk to someone" is enough to start.
