Do we both have to agree to come?

It helps when both partners are willing to try, even if one of you is more hesitant. It's okay to come in unsure. If your partner isn't ready, individual therapy can be a place to work on how you show up in the relationship.

Do I need a referral for couples therapy?

No. You can book a psychotherapist directly in Ontario, without a referral from a doctor.

Is couples therapy only for married couples?

No. Couples therapy can help partners who are dating, living together, engaged, married or separated, and couples of any gender or orientation. All of our therapists offer LGBTQIA+ affirming care.

Can we do couples therapy online?

Yes. Many couples meet by secure video, and Megan offers virtual sessions across Ontario & select provinces, as well as in-person sessions in Oakville.

Is the first consultation free?

Yes. The first 15-minute consultation is free, with no pressure to book. Consultations are by secure video unless you let us know you'd prefer a phone call. It's a good chance for both of you to ask questions and get a feel for the fit.
